We are excited to be leading a session entitled "Interest in Pinterest?" at this year's Michigan State University Technology Conference. It will be a mix of fun and learning!
Session Outline:
"Interest In Pinterest?"
1. Create group board.
2. Kahoot! survey.
3. Pinterest basics:
How to save a pin and create boards.
How to create your own pin from a website.
How to create your own pin from an uploaded picture.
Discuss random pins versus following boards. Demonstrate how to do both.
Pinterest button on web browser.
Edit comments.
4. MSU Technology Conference Board
Check emails and join.
Create a quick pin for the board-favorite tech resource.
5. Discuss/demonstrate creating a group board
Demonstrate how it is done.
Discuss uses.
Collaborate with subject areas/grade levels.
Collaborate with teachers from other schools in/out of district.
Collaborate/share with parents (show NEMS board).
Student/classroom board created by students.
Share with fellow teachers when attending PD.
6. Share board on FB or Twitter.
Good for classroom or school district social media.
7. Make money!
Teachers Pay Teachers- create pins of lessons you have created to lead others to your site.
8. Pinning frenzy.
